Back to a bigger slate tonight.
Those small slates are rough but hey, I’m going to play anyway.
Here are tonights top plays for the 12/14 NBA DFS slate along with my 50/50 lineup. As always, these salaries are taken from DraftKings.
John Wall ($9,700) – He’s been nuts lately, not sure you can fade him in cash.
Brandon Knight ($7,600) – He gives you the upside of a guy that costs $10K for less than $8K. Really good GPP play.
Derrick Rose ($6,400) – He hasn’t been great but he’s cheap and is going to shoot until his arm falls off.
DeMar Derozan ($7,100) – Unless it’s Paul George, the Pacers struggle guarding on the perimeter. He should score 25 and could drop up near 40.
Victor Oladipo ($6,400) – He hasn’t been as good as last year but as his role becomes more clear, he’ll start seeing more volume.
JJ Redick ($4,300) – He could score 20 on any night but not consistent enough for cash games. You’re getting the starting SG on a really good offense for almost a punt play salary.
Marcus Morris ($5,800) – I prefer him in GPPs but you can use him in either. Tons of minutes, just needs to shoot well. He’ll get open looks.
Al-Farouq Aminu ($5,200) – Tons of minutes. Just over $5K. Does a lot of things. Yeah.
Anthony Davis ($10,600) – A1 Stud. Best play of the night.
Derrick Favors ($7,700) – Tons of usage without Gobert around, cleaning up on the boards. He’s a steal under $8K.
Thad Young ($7,200) – Been really productive. Could get a 25-13 type of effort for near $7K.
Nikola Vucevic ($6,800) – He’ll see a lot of work with that Brooklyn front line and that almost always leads to production.
Al Horford ($6,500) – Quietly puts up really solid lines each and every night. Reliable and a great cash play.
Martin Gortat ($6,200) – The Wiz have very few healthy bodies on that front line. He’ll see a lot of work.
Gary Neal ($4,000) – No Beal. More Neal.
Terrence Ross ($3,900) – As long as Carroll is out, he’ll get run.
Tony Wroten ($3,600) – Seems like he will switch on and off with Kendall Marshall sitting out games. He’ll see 15-20 minutes, enough to be worth this salary.
Garrett Temple ($3,500) – Like Neal, he’ll be in line for a nice boost without Beal.
Trey Lyles ($3,200) – He’s getting minutes but not really doing anything with them. The minutes will be there so if you want to roll the dice in a GPP, sure.
